Essential Oils as Insecticides

It's that time of year. Those pesky bugs are starting to come out of hiding and make their way into your home... Here is a great list for those of you who want to use essential oils to kill those nasty bugs!

I put a few drops of Purify into a spray bottle and fill with water to spray around my home. Soon after spraying, I start finding dead bugs lining those areas (especially around doors and windows).

(All are safe around pets. To use ON pets, you will want to dilute with coconut oil because they absorb differently than humans.)

FLEAS* – TerraShield, Purify, Lavender, Lemongrass, Peppermint
FLIES – TerraShield, Lavender, Peppermint, Rosemary
GNATS – TerraShield
MOSQUITOES* – TerraShield, Lavender, Lemongrass

PLANT LICE – Peppermint

*In case the insects find you before you use your oils, the same oils that repel insects also relieve the effect of the bites.

There are many more oils one could use to repel pests.
